Pat smirked at the girl he’d been in love with since… well, as long as he could remember. How couldn’t he have fallen for her, really? Beautiful, smart, warped… His Beautiful Nightmare. Of course, he knew her feelings were different, but he could spend time with her. Especially when they were doing this.
Mal smiled at Patrick as though what they were doing was the simplest thing. Of course, it wasn’t. They’d set a trap for Gus, the idiot that Mal was supposed to marry. Over his dead body. Because, honestly, that’s what it’d come to if she was forced to.
Together, the two of them walked away, her hand tucked into the crook of his arm. “Patrick dear, I do believe this might have been your best one.” They sat in the common room, both disguising their smiles as the idiot walked past them and sat on his bed. A muffled boom sounded, and smoke started to drift into the common room. “Merlin’s beard, what’s happening now?” She asked as if surprised, although everyone in the room knew that she had to be the cause. Who would dare tell her off after all?
“YOU BITCH!” The yell was louder than the explosion, and Mal just crossed her legs and waited for the real fun to start. If Gus dared to get rough with her, she’d either hex him, or allow Pat to do so for her.
